The Chandipur Beach trek offers a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and unique coastal experiences, making it an ideal choice for nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts. Located in Odisha, this trek is famous for its serene beaches, river crossings, and the tranquil charm of the coastline.
Starting from Shalimar Station, the trek begins with a train journey aboard the Dhauli Express, followed by a scenic drive to Chandipur. Highlights of the trek include the peaceful Dublagadi Beach and the unique experience of crossing the Buribalam River by boat. The trek is relatively easy, with well-marked paths along the coastline, making it suitable for beginners.
Best experienced during the cooler months, the trek offers stunning beach views, quiet river landscapes, and a chance to explore the pristine beauty of Odisha’s coastline. The journey also offers a chance to immerse in the local culture and enjoy the peaceful environment.
The Chandipur Beach trek is a rewarding adventure, combining coastal beauty, river crossings, and a sense of tranquility that leaves trekkers with unforgettable memories of India’s lesser-known shores.
Day 1:
- Start your journey from Shalimar Station at 9:15 AM aboard the Dhauli Express. We'll arrive at Balasore, and from there, drive to Chandipur for an overnight stay.
Day 2:
- Start trekking from Chandipur towards Dublagadi Beach. We'll cross the Buribalam River by boat and trek approximately 15 km along the shoreline, spending the night by the Kasafal River.
Day 3:
- Return to Balasore. We'll trek back along the Kasafal River from Dublagadi Beach and board our return train at 3 PM.

Accommodation (as per the itinerary):
- Guest house - Triple/quad/pentasharing, Camping – triple sharing.
Meals (Veg):
- Day 1 Dinner to Day 3 Breakfast as per the itinerary.
- Drinking water while on trek (Tap/Mountain water).
Support:
- 1 Versatile base camp manager handles communication and deploys extra manpower in
Emergencies. - 1 Mountaineering & First aid qualified professional trek Leader.
- 1 Experienced high-altitude chef.
- Local experienced guides (Number of guides depending on the group size).
- Enough support staff.
Trek equipment:
- Sleeping bag, Sleeping liners (if required), mattresses, and Utensils.
- 4 men all season trekker tent (triple sharing), Kitchen & Dining tent, Toilet tent.
- Ropes, Helmet, Ice axe, Harness, Gaiters & crampons (if required).
First aid:
- Medical kit,Stretcher,Oxygen cylinder,Blood pressure monitor,Oximeter,Stethoscope.
