DHOTREY TONGLU

Dhotrey and Tonglu are scenic locations in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India, popular among trekkers and nature lovers.
Dhotrey:-
Location: Dhotrey is a small village situated at an altitude of about 8,500 feet. It's often used as a starting point for treks to Tonglu.
Attractions: The village is surrounded by lush green forests and offers beautiful views of the Himalayas. It’s known for its tranquil environment and is a great spot for birdwatching.
Tonglu:-
Location: Tonglu is located at a higher altitude, around 10,000 feet, and is about a 3-4 hour trek from Dhotrey.
Attractions: It offers panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range and other peaks. The region is known for its serene landscapes, trekking trails, and vibrant flora and fauna. There are also a few guesthouses for trekkers.
Trekking Route:
The trek from Dhotrey to Tonglu is relatively moderate and passes through scenic forests, providing a refreshing experience for nature enthusiasts.

Day 1 : NJP to DHOTREY

From NJP, our destination is Dhotrey around 105 kilometers It’s
take approximately 3-4 hours We will have breakfast on the way and then
we will reach Dhotre by car enjoying all the extraordinary roads. There will
be lunch and campfire arrangements at night.

Day 2 : DHOTREY to TONGLU

After breakfast at Dhotre, we will leave for Tonglu in the morning.
Tonglu is an extraordinary place about 7 km away from Dhotre. We will
have to trek the entire way to reach it. We will have lunch, watch the sunset
and stay in Tonglu for the night.
Tonglu is part of the Singalila National Park. The accommodation
here is mainly home stays. The main attraction here is the magnificent view
of Kanchenjunga. If the weather is favorable, you can see the heavenly view
of the third highest peak in the world from here.

Day 3 : TONGLU to NJP via DHOTREY

Today is our return day,after breakfast from Tonglu, we will come
down and reach Dhotrey directly and from there we will drive back to NJP.
